Macro & Close-Up Photography

Join local nature photographer Valerie Hoffman on Thursday, May 12, to discover and capture the beauty of the macroscopic life that exists under our feet! During the “Macro & Up-close Photography” workshop, Hoffman will share her tips and tricks for artfully capturing the smaller things that catch our eye as we walk and talk our way through the forests of Antietam Lake Park. Parks staff will also be on hand to help identify plants and animal life that might be encountered.

The workshop will begin at 6 p.m. at Bingaman Nature Center. Guests should park in the Angora Road (Main) lot and walk up the hill to the Nature Center. Please wear sturdy walking shoes and bring your own camera or cell phone and any lenses you may have to help you ‘zoom in’ even further!

This program is free and designed for adults, but it is also appropriate for children ages 10 and up. Pre-registration is required at least 24 hours in advance of the program date. For more information or to register, contact Lisa Gauker at [email protected] or call 610-374-2944, ext. 2611.
