Nasr Warour: “Sort of Wind”

October 2 @ 5:00 pm

Experience the North American debut of “Sort of Wind,” a captivating exhibition by Syrian-born artist Nasr Warour, whose multidisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture, photography, and image-making across more than three decades. Developed between Dubai and the United States, this remarkable body of work explores the subtle, unseen forces that shape our lives…those quiet currents of memory, movement, relationships, and transformation that pass through us every day. Through an ethereal blend of abstraction, figuration, contour, and movement, Warour invites viewers to pause, reflect, and consider the many “winds” that influence the human experience.

Join us for a FREE Artist Reception on Friday, October 2, from 5:00–8:00 PM in Yocum Institute’s Holleran Gallery. Meet the artist, experience the exhibition firsthand, and enjoy an evening of art, conversation, and community. Admission is free, and all are welcome.

Can’t make the reception? Sort of Wind will be on view in the Holleran Gallery September 4 through October 9. The exhibition is free and open to the public during gallery hours, offering multiple opportunities to experience the work of an internationally collected artist making his North American exhibition debut. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore a powerful collection that reflects on the invisible forces connecting us all.
