Firefly’s Open Mic is a welcoming space where experienced voices and first-time readers alike can share their work in a supportive environment.

Poetry is the heart of the evening, but we also welcome short fiction, essays, memoir, spoken word, and acoustic music. Not interested in performing? That’s perfectly fine—many guests come simply to listen, discover new local talent, and enjoy the creative atmosphere.
