Penn State Berks presents one-act plays, Nov. 2–5

The Penn State Berks theater department will showcase a pair of one-act plays for its fall 2022 mainstage production.

Performances will begin at 8 p.m. and run from Wednesday, Nov. 2 through Saturday, Nov. 5 in the Perkins Student Center Auditorium. Tickets are available at the door and cost $5 for Penn State students, faculty and staff, and $10 for general admission.

“A Weekend Getaway,” written by Berks student Kali Opolsky, details the struggles of trust and relationships. Opolsky will also direct the production. The cast is comprised of Berks students, including Skylar Zaleski as Meredith, Diego Bueno as Josh, Bassel Saad as Nick, and Kaileigh Ritenour as policewoman.

“World Without Memory” is a short play written by Seth Kramer. The show follows a man named Abe who has Alzheimer’s and the effects the disease has on him and his family. Berks theater program coordinator James Brown will direct while the cast and crew is made up of Berks students
