Pollinating Penn

August 20, 2022 @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm

On June 18th, July 16, and August 20th, Pollinating Penn will be at the Reading Science Center from 12:30 – 3 PM! This event is FREE when you pay for admission to the Center. This is an event for ALL AGES to learn about the bee life cycle, how nectar & pollen are collected, how nectar turns into honey, why bees are so important to our everyday living, and what bees’ wax can be used for. There also will be a honey tasting and a take-home activity!

Pollinating Penn is a local Berks County organization that aims to provide ongoing education that fosters a love for the beautification of our communities while creating sustainable avenues to preserve bees and other pollinators for future generations. They have established beehives on many rooftops in the city of Reading to help preserve the declining bee population.
