Reading-Berks Science & Engineering Fair Public Viewing

The Reading-Berks Science and Engineering Fair (RBSEF) is the regional science fair for Berks County, PA. Long before the rise of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) initiatives, the Fair has been presenting a forum for aspiring students to exercise their minds in a creative fashion. RBSEF has been held annually since 1952 and is the second oldest science fair in the U.S. The Fair is affiliated with the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), and our winners compete each year in the national event. Several have placed and/or received special awards at ISEF over the years.

Typically, there are an average of 500 student exhibits at RBSEF in 14 categories, representing 20+ schools in Berks County.  At the culmination, more than 120 awards are presented, including cash awards amounting to more than $10,000, scholarships, other awards such as summer camps, and entries into other national competitions.
