Mark your calendars for October 1! That’s the date for BCBC’s annual Shoo-Fly Classic. Once again, riders will roll out from the Oley Fairgrounds, with options for 20, 40, or 60 miles. (Start ride between 8 and 9:30 a.m.)
And this year includes a gravel option as well: an approachable yet challenging 29-mile loop with just over 2,800-feet of climbing!
Enjoy rides that meander through gently rolling farmland, some punchy climbs for our gravel grinders, a covered bridge, multiple historic landmarks of the Oley Valley, and an assortment of great food, drinks, and prizes from our local county businesses.
The ride offers stocked rest stops, SAG support, cue-sheets and Ride with GPS routes, road markings for the road routes, and lunch.
Participants who register before September will also receive a free, commemorative tech shirt, and a $5 discount.
Part of the proceeds from the Shoo-Fly Classic will benefit the Greater Reading Mental Health Alliance and their work to support local Berks County families by raising awareness about mental health issues in children/teens and adults through support, advocacy and services.
