A public, free-admission event at the Reading Country Club to provide a glimpse of the nearly 100-year-old building being brought back to its former glory will be held in Ocotober. Nine food trucks, music, beverages and generous giveaways are featured at this event which will be held rain or shine. Bring a blanket and chairs to enjoy the country club grounds. There will be spillover parking and shuttle buses at Boscov’s East 4500 Perkiomen avenue. This will be the first of many events to be staged at the club. Additional information on private bookings will be made available. The DoubleTree Catering Showcase event inside has been sold out, since September 27, however, a Thanksgiving Day dinner event is being organized and open to the public.
