World Premiere: The Spectacular Rise & Fall of the House Ferraro is a romping commedia dell’arte inspired farce in which a pompous ex–pig-shoe merchant declares himself nobility after the Mayor’s sudden death. To secure his legacy, he stages a ridiculous competition to choose an heir—drawing in vain stepchildren, love-struck strangers, bumbling servants, and even a pair of confused runaways named Romeo and Juliet. As ghosts meddle, secrets unravel, and accusations fly, the contest devolves into chaos that topples the Ferraros’ false nobility, sparks a flurry of mismatched weddings, and crowns an unlikely new leader of Limosani.
