The Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) has announced changes within the organization’s leadership team. The Offices of Business Services, Operations, and Human Resources have successfully transitioned new leaders into their respective roles of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Assistant Director of Finance, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Director of Human Resources.
In the Office of Business Services, Mrs. Lucille Gallis has assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mrs. Gallis has been a highly regarded and well-respected member of the BCIU leadership team since January 2020. Her expertise and extensive business experience affords the organization financial stability and a continued commitment to delivering high-quality customer service both within the BCIU and for its external customers. Ms. Angel Green joined the organization as Assistant Director of Finance, having previously served as the Assistant Director of Business Administration and Treasurer for the Parkland School District. Ms. Green brings over 21 years of financial experience to the BCIU; 14 of which were in Pennsylvania school district business operations, with an extensive background in financial management budgeting, reporting, and audit preparation.
Earlier this year, the BCIU went through a strategic realignment creating the Office of Operations which houses operations, safety and security, and transportation programs. Mr. Rob Rosenberry, who was serving as the Director of Human Resources, transitioned into the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Rosenberry has been a trusted and respected leader within the organization since July 2010. His long tenure and institutional knowledge, coupled with his human resources and business background, provide a strong foundation for leading these key programs.
With the office realignment and the transition into a new role for Mr. Rosenberry, the Office of Human Resources welcomed new leadership. Ms. Mary Franciscus joined the BCIU as the Director of Human Resources. She previously held the position of Manager of Recruiting and Employee Relations at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. Ms. Franciscus has a wide-ranging background in all facets of human resources and is passionate about employee relations.
Dr. Jill Hackman, BCIU Executive Director, shared, “The BCIU is truly fortunate to have such high-caliber experienced leaders serving in these crucial leadership positions and promoting the mission and vision of the organization. These individuals bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the BCIU and will serve and continue to serve as valuable members of the BCIU Leadership Team. These leadership changes will ensure we are effectively executing goals and priorities as we move forward as an organization.”
