Wernersville Public Library 2nd Annual Mini Art Show

by Wernersville Public Library

May 26, 2023

The Wernersville Public Library invites ages birth-adult to showcase their artistic talents throughout the summer months. The library will be provide supplies which include: mini canvas, paints, and brushes at no cost. The last day to bring back your canvas is July 31st.

This event allows all participants to explore any types of materials, including pages from magazines, fabrics, photos, etc. to combine methods of art. “This program was so well received last year; we had close to 70 participants and we hope to reach even more community members with this fun program this summer. The kids were so excited to show me their creations and the adults got to enjoy some self-expression time.” Gabrielle Hardy, Youth Services Programmer.

“It is such an adorable project and one that requires some patience as you try and condense a theme onto a fun size canvas. I like seeing the critical thinking skills, creativity, and individual expression happening all at once. I have enjoyed seeing all the works that were already submitted. “Maria Gerasklis-Long, Library Director

There will be a voting session that will take place on August 1 until August 8. Winners will be announced in all four age groups at the library’s closing party on August 20 from 4-6PM Winners will receive a Longwood Gardens pass which was made possible through our Community Reads program with Longwood Gardens. For more information about the event contact the library at: 610-678-8771 or email: [email protected]
