Faramarz Farbod interviews Ashira Ali Darwish about Palestine and her experience of trauma, resilience, and healing. Ashira worked for 15 years as a TV and radio journalist and researcher in Palestine for the BBC, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch. She is the founder of Catharsis Holistic Healing, a trauma therapy project pioneering a type of Sufi active meditation that draws its roots from ancestral and Indigenous knowledge. She is an executive producer and a cast in the recently released Where Olive Trees Weep (www.whereolivetreesweep.com), a documentary exploring themes of loss, trauma, and the quest for justice in Palestine.
