Episode 3 of “Project 250”, a celebration of the 250th year of our nation’s birth through an exploration of its decorative arts heritage, begins with a brief consideration of a specific element of the political and social theory woven into the founding of our representative democracy.

The feature segment of this month’s episode focuses on identifying the defining design elements of the American Empire, Shaker and Primitive furniture styles.
