Wernersville Third Annual Mini Art Show

Wernersville Third Annual Mini Art Show

by Wernersville Public Library

The Wernersville Public Library invites all ages to showcase their artistic talents beginning May 15 until July 31. Materials will be covered by the library at no cost, which includes mini-canvas and paint supplies. Participants can paint their creations either at the library or take them home to complete. The event allows participants to use any type of materials, including pages from books, magazines, fabrics, photographs, etc. To combine methods of art.

The art show was recently nominated as a best practice program by the Berks County Library System.

“In 2023, we had over 100 participants. That is incredible,” stated Library Director Maria Gerasklis-Long. She continued, “It was wonderful to see the creations displayed throughout the library and how everyone enjoyed seeing these mini masterpieces. There is no doubt that art is appreciated and valued in our community; I am proud that this program was nominated for an award.”

There will be a voting session that will take place on Aug. 1-8. The winners will receive a Longwood Gardens pass, which was made possible through the Community Reads program with Longwood Gardens.
