Are you looking for a different but trendy coffee shop in Berks County? Then Twin Valley Coffee is the place to go. Located on Main Street in Elverson, PA is a small and cute little gazebo with real big flavors.
Twin Valley Coffee offers cold brews as well as hot coffee. Their most popular cold brew beverage is an iced toddy. It is an iced coffee with your choice of creamer and a caramel wall. Not only is the iced coffee pleasing to look at, and the sweet taste of the coffee is addicting, but you also won’t want to put the cup down. “We tell people who get their first one [beverage] ‘your life is about to change’”, says Lynn Burkholder, owner of Twin Valley Coffee. And this is nothing but the truth. They also offer a lemonade which is a combination of cold brew and lemonade, but the coffee cold brew products are the best sellers.
The idea to create a coffee shop started in 2004 when the owners, Lynn and Lynne Burkholder, had some dinner guests over. “We had some friends over for dinner and he brought us some coffee for after dinner, and our eyes got opened to how good coffee can be,” says Burkholder. Twin Valley Coffee is open all year around. Even in the winter, cold brew is still very popular with customers. “During the summer months on the fourth Friday of each month, we are open late and have the lights on, and we have live music here. There is anywhere from 100 people to 150 people that come out and hang out,” says Burkholder. This is definitely something to look forward to for next year.
The coffee here has become very popular among high school and college-aged kids. Not only them, but people from all over Berks County come to buy the various delicious brews. “So simple yet so tasty. 10/10,” says Jenna Roth, a customer at Twin Valley Coffee. This was also her first time, and her order consisted of a hazelnut cold brew. Their menu includes the iced toddy, cold brews, the nitro cold brew, lattes, espressos, and more!
The shop where the coffee is sold is unique itself. It is not your traditional building, in fact, it is a little gazebo. Inside the gazebo is where you can order your coffee and purchase a few different items like shirts, mugs, coffee grounds, brewing equipment, and gift packs.
