Saturday, March 2 | Winter Wellness Walk | 9 a.m. @ Heritage Center
Join Parks staff as we get out on the Union Canal Trail to enjoy an hour-long brisk walk with like-minded friends. Getting moving this time of the year can be tough, but studies show that outdoor time is just as important in winter as in the warmer months of the year.

Saturday, March 2 | Volunteer Open House | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. @ Heritage Center
Come out and learn more about volunteering for the Berks County Park system! We’re looking for energetic volunteers to assist us in a variety of roles. Would you be interested in being a tour guide, visitor center attendant, event staff, trail ambassador, or park steward? There are opportunities for all ages with no experience necessary. Come out and help us keep the Parks beautiful and accessible!
This Open House will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop in any time to learn more!
Tuesday, March 19 | Read with a Ranger: Spring Has Sprung | 10 a.m. @ Heritage Center
Join the Rangers on an adventure! Kids ages 3-5 are invited to enjoy a themed story, go for a walk on the trail, and complete a craft to become an honorary Junior Ranger. Parents/guardians must attend with their child (This is not a drop-off program).

Wednesday, March 20 | Gardener’s Helpers Workshop | 6-8 p.m. @ Heritage Center
Join parks staff as we explore the finer points of enticing beneficial wildlife to your backyard, then roll up your sleeves and complete a bluebird box or mason bee house of your own to take home!
$20/kit, limit two kits per family | Registration is required.
Monday, March 25 | Full Moon Hike | 8 p.m. @ Heritage Center
Walk the Union Canal Trail on the evening of the Full Moon! Wear sturdy hiking or walking shoes and bring a flashlight. We’ll be outside the entire time, so dress warm.

Tuesday, March 26 | Homeschool Hour: Spring Changes | 10 a.m. @ Bingaman House
Join Parks staff in discovering the new spring season! Find out which animals have woken up from a winter’s nap, explore the plants that signal warmer weather, and enjoy some time among friends along the trails. This is not a drop-off program.
$5 per child | Registration is required.
