From My Gut Instinct Inc.
My Gut Instinct Inc., in partnership with Classic Harley-Davidson, is proud to host the fifth annual Undy 500, a community-driven event dedicated to raising awareness about colorectal cancer prevention and early detection.
Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths among men and women in the U.S., impacting approximately 150,000 people each year. Alarmingly, rates are rising among younger adults ages 20-49, with nearly three out of four individuals under 50 diagnosed at an advanced stage. Despite the fact that colorectal cancer is 90% beatable when detected early, one in three Americans is not screened when recommended.
The Undy 500 aims to change that.
Event details
The Undy 500 will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Classic Harley-Davidson, located at 983 James Dr., Leesport, PA.
This free, family-friendly event will bring the community together for an afternoon of education, entertainment, and action. Special guests include Fox Chase Cancer Center, which will offer education on cancer treatment; Berks Community Health Center, which will offer free at-home stool testing kits, health education, and on-site vitals screenings; Rob Grim Foundation, which will honor Coach Grim, who died of this disease, and collect used sports gear for underprivileged youth; and Keltic Ink, which will offer piercing services.
Attendees can enjoy:
- Cancer prevention education and free health screenings.
- Complimentary giveaways, including at-home stool test kits.
- Free coffee courtesy of Wawa’s.
- Food and drinks from El Flores Authentic Tacos and Pagoda City Brewing.
- Live music by Barefoot Jimmy, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band.
Participants are encouraged to bring any set of wheels — or just their feet — to ride or walk the Undy 500-meter obstacle course, which begins with a ride through a 50-foot inflatable colon, symbolizing the importance of early screening and awareness. All participants will receive a free pair of Undy 500 underwear (while supplies last).
Games, prizes, and giving back
Test your skills in the Doo Diligence Scavenger Hunt, a timed challenge open to all vehicles. Prizes will be awarded for the fastest completion, and all finishers receive a free event t-shirt(while supplies last) and entry to win a Custom Classic Harley Prize Pack.
Monetary donations will also be collected to support colorectal cancer research through the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
