Berks Piano Quartet to Perform Free Concert at Yocum Institute

From Yocum Institute for Arts Education

The Yocum Institute for Arts Education is pleased to present a free concert by the Berks Piano Quartet on Sunday, May 31, at 3 p.m.

The Berks Piano Quartet features four young prize-winning pianists performing simultaneously on two pianos in a dynamic and entertaining program that blends classical favorites, ragtime, and big-band jazz. The ensemble describes its performances as “the most fun you can have at a concert!”

Over the past 15 years, the group has performed more than sixty concerts at venues throughout the region, delighting audiences with their artistry, energy, and unique collaborative style.

“The Berks Piano Quartet is a very unique experience,” said Suzanne Bado, Music Department Director at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education. “James Neher has tremendous pride in his four students and wants to share their talents with the community.”

This year’s quartet members are Leonore Das, Yara Kennah, Austin Zheng, and Sarah Snyder, under the direction of James Neher. The ensemble is a scholarship program of the Yocum Institute for Arts Education.

The concert is free and open to the public. Audience members of all ages are encouraged to attend and enjoy an afternoon of exceptional live music.
