Community Days 2026 will be a full nine days of events planned on the campus of Governor Mifflin Intermediate School, 600 Governor Dr., Shillington, for its monumental 50th annual festival.

Special activities include a 50th Anniversary Day on Sunday, June 26, featuring the 50th Anniversary Parade presented by Mailshark at 4 p.m., followed by a ceremony at the Penske Transportation Solutions Main Stage at 5 p.m. with appearances by local lawmakers, The Patriotic Order Sons of America, Eric Richardson as Abraham Lincoln reciting The Gettysburg Address, and 400 ceremonial cupcakes free of charge for patrons. A Spectacular Fireworks Show by International Fireworks will close the festival on Saturday, July 4. This will be the largest fireworks presentation in the Greater Governor Mifflin League’s history to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the U.S.

This year’s Community Days will run from Friday, June 26, to Saturday, July 4, with all of the rides, games, entertainment, and food that fairgoers have come to love for 50 years. Community Days will also have nightly 50/50 raffles and a nightly pick-a-prize auction. The fair will remain a 100% free entry experience. Also, for guests’ convenience, First Student will provide shuttle bus parking from both the Governor Mifflin Senior High School and the Governor Mifflin Middle School parking lots free of charge throughout each day of the festival. The parking at both lots is handicap accessible, along with a handicap-accessible bus. Each bus will drop off at the main entrance for easy access and limited walking between concessions and entertainment.

The Greater Governor Mifflin League was founded in 1976 as a nonprofit organization devoted to giving back to the community. In every year since, the Greater Governor Mifflin League has presented a unique community fair featuring food, games, rides, and some of the best regional and national entertainment, including a fireworks show, which will culminate this year on Saturday, July 4. Its main goal has been to return proceeds from the fair back into the community in the form of contributions to local fire companies, ambulance associations, community projects, scout troops, school projects, and scholarships, just to name a few. In its history, the Greater Governor Mifflin League has given over $600,000 back to the Governor Mifflin community. All donations are 100% tax-deductible as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
