Berks County Community Foundation Welcomes New Accounting and Finance Manager

Berks County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of a new team member, Alyssa N. Wilkinson, CPA. Alyssa assumed the role of Accounting and Finance Manager on Monday, June 15, and brings with her a wealth of experience and local connections.

Alyssa manages the Community Foundation’s day-to-day financial operations, as well as preparing monthly reports and reconciliations of the Community Foundation’s assets. Alyssa will work with Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer, Franki Aitken, in meeting audit, tax, and fund administration requirements. The role of Accounting and Finance Manager is crucial in ensuring standard operating procedures are completed successfully.

Alyssa earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Elizabethtown College. Following graduation, Alyssa began her career at Herbein + Company Inc. (now Cherry Bekaert), where she gained valuable experience conducting audits for nonprofit organizations throughout the greater Berks County and Lehigh Valley areas. During this time, she also obtained her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, further strengthening her technical expertise and commitment to the profession.
