In celebration of National Dog Day on Aug. 26, Berks Community Television is collaborating with the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Humane Pennsylvania, and PA PitStop to help these adoptable pups find their forever homes!

Hi! I’m Chelsea, an 8-year-old female French Mastiff/Chow Mix.
If relaxation were an Olympic sport, Chelsea would have a gold medal (and probably be napping on the podium). This laid-back lady is all about the simple joys in life: gentle pets, cozy couches, and leisurely strolls around the neighborhood where she can take in the sights at her own pace.
Chelsea isn’t in a rush — she’s more of a “stop and smell the roses (and maybe sit next to them for a while)” kind of girl. She’s the perfect match for someone who enjoys quiet evenings, soft blankets, and a loyal buddy who’s always down to hang out.

Hi! I’m Bug, a 9-year-old male mixed breed.

He’s just as happy to trade adventure for couch time, making him the perfect mix of explorer and cuddle bug. Bug already knows “sit,” “lay down,” and “paw,” walks nicely on leash, and has made great progress with his confidence while staying home alone.

I am a 3-month-old neutered male Jack Russell Terrier. I was brought to the shelter as an accidental litter. I am a friendly puppy who will need a loving owner with time and patience. I am still a puppy, so I will need a ton of puppy training. I am not yet potty trained, so I will need some work with that! I came in with my siblings and my dad! I am a very high-energy dog who will need a ton of exercise and enrichment to help me be my best self! I am looking for an understanding owner who knows what it takes to raise a puppy!

At first I was a bit shy, but I have been warming up really well! I absolutely love treats; well, I love all food. It is the quickest way to my heart!
