Berks Community Television (BCTV) recently welcomed two new interns — Braden Joseph Livingston and Anoushka Yadav — to its team for the fall. They will help with content creation for BCTV’s digital platforms, provide technical and control room support for studio programming in the Visions studio, and take on various roles in special projects and initiatives.
Braden Joseph Livingston, of Glenmoore, is a senior at Alvernia University, majoring in digital media marketing. His ultimate goal is to become a social media manager for a business.
During his time with BCTV, Braden is most eager to gain hands-on experience working in a TV studio. “I really enjoyed the time I spent working in and with BCTV while doing the Alvernia Campus Show, and I really wanted to spend more time actually working and helping in the studio outside of that class,” he said.
Braden enjoys spending his free time appreciating photography and cinematography and playing video games.
Anoushka Yadav, of Phoenixville, is a senior at Spring Ford Area High School. She is the founder of Project Anchor, a youth-led mental health nonprofit organization that has grown to over 70 chapters in five countries. She also works as a server at Shannondell in Valley Forge. Her ultimate goal is to become a pediatric surgeon based in Washington, D.C. or Boston.
During her time with BCTV, Anoushka is most eager to learn about content creation and the technical side of media production. “Through working on Project Anchor these past few years, I learned how important media communication is in raising awareness for issues in our community. BCTV specifically stood out to me because it is one of the oldest, continuously operating cable managers in the nation. In addition, BCTV airs on numerous platforms, thus showcasing important ideas around the community to the best of its ability,” she said.
Anoushka enjoys spending her free time going on long runs along the Perkiomen Trail, a trail she grew up biking on.
