Wyomissing Student Raises More Than $11,500 for Brain Aneurysm Research Through Inaugural Charity Tennis Tournament

From Berks County Tennis Association

Parth Khachane, a 16-year-old junior at Wyomissing Area Jr./Sr. High School and a competitive tennis player, founded and organized the inaugural Rally for Research: Aces for Aneurysm charity tennis tournament, generating more than $11,500 in donations and pledges benefiting The Bee Foundation for Brain Aneurysm Prevention.

Held Oct. 31 to Nov. 1, the tournament brought together over 25+ players from the local tennis community to support brain aneurysm research, prevention, and awareness.

Khachane led the initiative’s fundraising, sponsorship outreach, event planning, and community partnerships, working closely with Ryan Knarr, President of the Berks County Tennis Association and President of USTA Middle States, whose tennis leadership and organizational support helped make the tournament a success.

The initiative concluded with a celebratory banquet on Nov. 2 at Wyomissing Area Jr./Sr. High School, featuring remarks from Dr. Brian McCauley, Berks County Commissioner Christian Y. Leinbach, Ryan Knarr, and Govind Vinjamuri, representing Platinum Sponsor FORMACE AI Tennis Coaching, with Don Hutchinson serving as Master of Ceremonies.

The evening brought together local leaders, sponsors, families, and community supporters to celebrate the fundraiser’s success and recognize those who made it possible. Khachane hopes to build upon this inaugural event by continuing to unite athletics, community leadership, and charitable giving in support of important medical causes.
