This year’s Holiday Fruitcake 6 features nine new and original songs for you to add to your holiday music playlists and collections. In addition to the album and video releases, a new cable TV and Internet one-hour special, hosted by Dave Kline, Bob Yost, and Dave Lewis, principal producers of the Holiday Fruitcake enterprise, has been created, featuring the videos from Holiday Fruitcake 6. The new show will be added to the lineup of three previous one-hour Holiday Fruitcake TV & Internet specials, which feature all of the music videos from the past five years of the Holiday Fruitcake enterprise. The shows are all available “on demand” on YouTube and air on select cable networks, such as BCTV & CWTAP-TV. Click here to watch the show.
The concept of encouraging musicians to write and record original music for the holiday season first came into being during the COVID crisis year of 2020, when composers, musicians, performers, and producers Dave Kline & Dave Lewis collaborated to create some light through original music during a time of great darkness in the world. Caricature animator Bob Yost was recruited into the project, as were many musicians/songwriters looking for creative outlets, and the rest is history.
Holiday Fruitcake 6 is the sixth in a series of yearly releases started during the COVID pandemic as a way for musicians/songwriters to collaborate in order to stay active during the lockdown. The Holiday Fruitcake collection offers musical holiday fun for all in a wide range of music genres. All of the albums in the series are available on major digital distribution and download platforms.
