In conjunction with National Child Passenger Safety Week, which is Sunday, Sept. 20, to Saturday, Sept. 26, the Pennsylvania State Police will strongly enforce any violation of the Commonwealth’s seat belt and child passenger restraint laws.
Vehicle crashes are one of the leading causes of death, with most of those fatalities being attributed to unbelted motorists.
The Pennsylvania State Police will offer free car seat checks on the following dates and times at AAA Reading-Berks, 920 Van Reed Road, Reading:
- Sunday, Sept. 20, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Monday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Thursday, Sept. 24, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Friday, Sept. 25, from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
No appointment is necessary.
