Humane Pennsylvania (Humane PA) is excited to share that the Walk for the Animals is back! This year, the 47th annual Walk for the Animals Presented by Performance Toyota falls on Star Wars Day, Saturday, May 4, so break out your Han Solo costume, twist up those Princess Leia buns, dress up your dog as Chewbacca, and come to the bark side!
Registration for the Walk Humane Pennsylvania is still accepting walk registrations open on the Humane Pennsylvania website (HumanePA.org). Admission for the walk is free, but your registration helps save the lives of thousands of animals in need. Register online (adults $25/kids $15) to reserve your exclusive, one-time-only Star Wars Walk for the Animals t-shirt featuring HPA mascots Spike and Tilly as Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. Upgrade to VIP walk status for just $75 and receive a dog bandana, a free all-you-can-eat buffet, a beer and wine garden, and more. Walkers who pledge to raise more than $250 to save lives will receive their very own walk sweatshirt and exclusive Humane PA swag.
Join the fun as an adult Walker or a VIP Walker, or enlist your friends and family to represent their state in the 50-State Challenge. Whether you are walking virtually, attending in person, or simply raising funds from the comfort of your own home, your participation saves lives and gives second chances to the community’s most vulnerable animals.
Enjoy a relaxing, one-mile walk with your pup, family, and friends at your own pace – all in support of our mission and the animals we serve. Stay for the fun as live music, vendors, food trucks, games, and dog contests that are sure to please all pups (and humans!).
Together, we can provide animals with shelter and lifesaving medical treatment, help families adopt new pets that need homes, rescue animals from emergencies, and so much more.
