America 250 Berks County Liberty Bell Ceremony in Reading, PA (July 8, 2026)

On July 8, 2026, Berks County celebrated the 250th anniversary of both the United States and the public reading of the Declaration of Independence in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania.

Berks County Commissioner Christian Leinbach hosted the ceremony, where he delivered a special address and rang the Berks County Liberty Bell. The event also featured various guest speakers and patriotic performances by the Ringgold Band.
