Interview with VRC Client Ralph Cincinnati | Insight

Vision Resource Center client Ralph Cincinnati discusses his vision loss with VRC President/CEO Lori Peters.

Ralph lost his vision due to diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration. Ralph shared his journey of losing one eye in the 1990s and eventually going completely blind, including how he continued driving with one eye until he could no longer see safely. He discussed his current activities, including listening to audiobooks (having read 150-200 books), playing dominoes with special bump tiles, and attending VRC events with his wife’s support. Ralph emphasized the importance of his support system, particularly VRC and his family, and highlighted common misconceptions about visually impaired people, including the use of canes and walkers. The interview concluded with announcements about upcoming VRC events in May, including game day, lunch bunch, and a golf tournament.
