“Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium” to be Celebrated Throughout Holiday Season

America’s Classic Ballpark will turn into a winter wonderland this holiday season when the Fightin Phils, RAM Trucks, and Savage 61 Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram host Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium. The event will run from “Black Friday”, Friday, November 24 through Saturday, December 23.

Fans will be able to capture the holiday spirit as they stroll through a Christmas version of FirstEnergy Stadium and visit different themed areas featuring sparkling holiday lights and glowing displays. NEW for 2017 will be a greatly enhanced on-field light show, and several additional heated areas for families to enjoy while taking a break from the cold.

There will be a live nativity scene with live animals courtesy of White Star Tours & Travel Center and Supportive Concepts for Families. Local church groups are encouraged to sign up to portray the characters in the live nativity. Those interested can contact Stephen Thomas at [email protected] for more information on how they can be a part of “Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium”. All performers receive FREE tickets thanks to White Star Tours & Travel Center.

Fans will also get a chance to visit the Baseballtown “Ice Cave” courtesy of Perrotto Builders, LTD. You may even meet an Ice Princess! Families can also enjoy a Christmas Hay Ride around the field, joined on the Hay Ride by Fightins Mascots, thanks to RAM Trucks.

No trip to “Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium” will be complete without a visit to see Santa at the Forino’s Santa House. Old Saint Nick will be on hand to hear Christmas wishes from those on both the naughty and nice list each night. Some of Santa’s live reindeer will be on hand thanks to Around the Ground Landscaping.

Local bands, choruses, and musicians will play yuletide favorites on the Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest Stage in Tompkins VIST Bank Plaza. The Fightins are calling all local choirs, bands, orchestras, and other musical groups — from schools, churches, retirement communities, etc. — to schedule your group to perform at “Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium”. Those interested can contact Todd Hunsicker at [email protected] for more information on how they can be a part of “Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium”. All performers receive FREE tickets thanks to Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest.

“Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium will be 100% affordable family entertainment – just like every Fightins home game is,” said Fightins General Manager Scott Hunsicker. “2016 was our first ever Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium event, and we learned a lot. With the addition of the enhanced on-field light show, and the added heated areas to allow families to escape the cold, the 2017 version of Christmas at FirstEnergy Stadium will be even better. We are excited to be adding a large group area that is also heated to allow church groups, family reunions, birthday parties, and businesses to celebrate the holiday together here at America’s Classic Ballpark!”

FirstEnergy Stadium’s popular concession stands and bars will be open throughout the event each night serving delicious treats, beer, wine, and warm drinks.
