New Financial Series at Wyomissing Public Library

New Financial Series at Wyomissing Public Library

Visions Federal Credit Union is partnering with the Wyomissing Public Library in January to present a three-part series of financial literacy classes. The classes are free and open to the public.

On Thursday, January 4th, Mary Neiman, a Branch Member Account Specialist with Visions Federal Credit Union, will present a workshop on Women & Money. The workshop, which will begin at 1:00 PM, will address the particular needs of women for budgeting, credit and insurance. Whether becoming a parent, getting a divorce or becoming a widow or thinking about switching jobs or retiring, there are financial considerations that women specifically need to think about. This workshop will help address those considerations.

Ian Paisley, Assistant Branch Manager at Visions FCU, will present Finances for New Families on Monday, January 8th at 1:00 PM. If you’re thinking about getting married and or starting a family, this workshop will help you discover, prioritize and design a workable plan to meet your goals and suit your lifestyle.

The final workshop in the series will be held on Wednesday, January 17th at 6:30 PM. Lindsay Kennedy, Branch Manager at Visions FCU, will help participants Build a Better Budget and take control of their finances. Workshop participants will identify their short- and long-term financial goals and learn how to design realistic spending and savings plans to reach those goals

The Wyomissing Public Library is located at 9 Reading Boulevard in Wyomissing. Registration is requested and may be done at the front desk or by phone at 610-374-2385. For more information, visitwww.wyopublib.org.
