Spanish Classes

Beginning Monday, July 9th the Wyomissing Public Library will offer a free, 6-week course in conversational Spanish from 6-8 pm. The course is open to the public, including families and their children over the age of 7. In addition to learning how to speak in Spanish and hold a conversation, participants will learn about the 21 Latin American countries, their customs, geography and foods. The course is geared to beginners and those who would like to refresh their Spanish language skills.

Yvette Santiago, M.Ed., who teaches Spanish as a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Alvernia University, will be the course instructor. Ms. Santiago also has experience as an interpreter and translator, and has taught English as a Second Language (ESL).

The course will continue on Monday evenings through August 6th; there will be no class on August 13th, and the wrapup “Fiesta” will be held on August 20th.  All classes will begin at 6 pm and end at 8.

Registration is required for the 6- week course, and may be done online at www.wyopublib.org, or by calling 610-374-2385, or in person at the library, 9 Reading Boulevard in Wyomissing.
