A Memorable 20th Annual Schuylkill River Sojourn

The 2018 Schuylkill River sojourn was exceptional in so many ways. For one, it celebrated a very special milestone. The first sojourn was launched in 1999. For the 20th consecutive year, a colorful flotilla of kayaks traveled through five counties – Schuylkill, Berks, Montgomery, Chester and Philadelphia – in a 112-mile journey down the river.

A total of about 200 paddlers from 11 states participated in the sojourn this year with about 70 making the full trip from Schuylkill Haven to Philadelphia!
