Heritage of Green Hills Hosts Seminar on Anxiety Attacks; Free and Open to the Public

SHILLINGTON, Pa. – The Heritage of Green Hills, a healthy life plan community, will host a Chat Café, “Panic, Anxiety & Fear, Oh My!”, a seminar and discussion about anxiety attacks. The event will be held on Thursday, July 12 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on The Heritage campus at 200 Tranquility Lane in Shillington, just off Morgantown Road/Route 10 across from The Flying Hills Golf Course. The Chat Café is free and open to the public. Reservations are required for the Chat Café and can be made by calling Cheryl Anderson at 484-269-5145

The discussion will be led by Amber Hedemann, MA, CDP, a clinical liaison at Haven Behavioral Healthcare in Pottsville. Hedemann is skilled in social services, clinical research, psychotherapy, crisis intervention and mental health counseling.

The event will address the worry that is a reaction to the stress or anxiety people may experience in life. While some worry is normal, extreme anxiety or fear that causes problems with daily life is not. As we age, fear or apprehension about the future, concern for our diminishing health and that of our loved ones may increase. But, persistent or worsening anxiety may be a sign of an anxiety disorder, which is the most common form of emotional disorder, affecting approximately 40 million people in the U.S.
