Tompkins VIST Bank Donates $500 to The Salvation Army Hamburg

WYOMISSING, PA—As part of Tompkins VIST Bank’s Hamburg Branch 20-year anniversary, the bank donated $500 to The Salvation Army Hamburg. Throughout the week, the branch also collected donations for a “Christmas in July” celebration.

The Salvation Army will use the donations for its Community Cares Program, which will provide 146 people at Laurel Nursing Center Christmas bags full of hygiene products. The bank’s donation will also help The Salvation Army Hamburg gear up for kettle season in November, with 90% of the donations staying local and 10% going to regional services in PA, including Emergency Disaster Services.

“It has been a pleasure being involved in the wonderful Hamburg community for the last 20 years,” says Vice President, Business Development Officer and Hamburg Branch Manager Beth Heckart. “We look forward to many more to come.”
