Tompkins VIST Bank’s Community Minute Challenge to Award $2,000 to Winning Non-Profit

WYOMISSING, PA – A one minute video on Facebook has the potential to impact an entire community through Tompkins VIST Bank’s Community Minute Challenge.

The public is invited to participate in the social media contest by voting for their favorite one-minute video created by a local non-profit in Southeastern Pennsylvania. The videos will be posted on Tompkins VIST Bank’s Facebook page. The organization that receives the most votes will win $2,000.

The competing non-profits are Berks Encore (Reading, PA); Children’s Home of Reading (Reading, PA); Boyertown Multi-services (Boyertown, PA); Grace Neighborhood Development Corporation (Philadelphia, PA); Schuylkill YMCA (Pottsville, PA); and CORA Services (Philadelphia, PA).

Each organization will compete through videos explaining how they benefit the community and how they will use the funds. Voting for the challenge begins August 7 and runs through August 21. During the voting period, participants are encouraged to ‘like’ Tompkins VIST Bank’s Facebook page, click on the Community Minute Challenge in the left-side menu and select a non-profit of their choosing. People can vote once, every day.

The winner will be announced on August 22, 2018.
