BCCCA to Honor and Recognize Carl Herbein at January 26th RSO Concert

The Berks County Convention Center Authority will honor and recognize long-time and original board member, Carl Herbein, in a ceremony at the Santander Performing Arts Center on Saturday, January 26.

The ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Santander Performing Arts Center prior to that evening’s Reading Symphony Orchestra performance at 7:30 p.m.

A recognized area business leader and noted philanthropist, Herbein served on the BCCCA board from 1996-2018.  He held the role of BCCCA treasurer from 1996 to 2017, and was board chairman in 2018.  Herbein passed away on September 16, 2018 at the age of 71.

In 1972, he founded Herbein & Company a highly successful accounting firm located in Spring Township.  The firm grew to eight locations and over 200 employees.  Herbein + Company, Inc. is a leading regional certified public accounting firm serving clients throughout the U.S.  They provide tax, assurance and advisory services that help their clients succeed with confidence, and is recognized nationwide.  Herbein served as the firm’s President/CEO until his passing.
