Kutztown Folk Festival Nominated as One of 2019’s Best Cultural Festivals by USA Today

KUTZTOWN, PA – The Kutztown Folk Festival has been nominated by USA Today’s 10Best as one of 2019’s best cultural festivals in North America. This nomination features the Folk Festival alongside some of the best known events in the U.S., including the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the Art Basel in Miami and Mardi Gras. The Kutztown Folk Festival is currently second on the voting leaderboard.

Students, faculty, staff and the entire Kutztown community are encouraged to vote for the Kutztown Folk Festival once per day until voting ends on Tuesday, March 12, at 12 p.m. The 10 winning festivals will be announced on the 10Best website on Friday, March 22.

First opened in 1950, the nine-day Kutztown Folk Festival is the nation’s oldest annual folk life festival, attracting visitors from around the globe. A celebration of Pennsylvania Dutch culture and heritage, the event includes America’s largest quilt sale, 200 craftsmen and folk artists, local food vendors and family-friendly entertainment.

The 70th annual Folk Festival will take place from June 29 – July 7, 2019.
