117 Student-Athletes Named To MAC Winter and Spring Academic Honor Roll

Annville, Pa. (May 31, 2019) – 29 winter student-athletes, and 88 spring student-athletes represented Alvernia University on the 2019 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Winter and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.

A total of 993 winter student-athletes and 1,680 spring student-athletes across the MAC were recognized for their achievements in the classroom.

The winter and spring academic honor rolls are comprised of student-athletes who competed in a varsity level sport during the winter and spring seasons, and registered a spring term/semester GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher.

For winter sports, Women’s Basketball led the way with 10 representatives. Women’s Indoor Track and Field had nine representatives, including two athletes with a 4.00. Men’s Indoor Track and Field had six representatives, and Men’s Basketball rounded out the winter honorees with four.

For the spring sports, Baseball led the way with 20 representatives, including one athlete with a 4.00. Softball was next with 14 representatives, included a 4.00. Women’s Lacrosse and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field each had nine representatives, including three combined 4.00 GPAs. Men’s Lacrosse and Women’s Tennis posted seven representatives each, including a 4.00 from Women’s Tennis. Men’s Outdoor Track and Field posted six honorees and Men’s Volleyball finished with five. Men’s Tennis and Women’s Golf each had four honorees, and Men’s Golf rounded out the honor roll with three representatives.

Across all winter and spring sports, seven Alvernia student-athletes achieved a 4.00 GPA this semester. They are indicated with an asterisk next to their name.
