Volunteers Needed for Habitat for Humanity of Berks County ReStore

Reading, PA: Habitat for Humanity of Berks County (HFHBC) is searching for volunteers for its ReStore on the weekend of July 19, 2019.  Volunteers are wanted to help with store functions during store operating hours, Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m. Interested volunteers can contact HFHBC’s Director of Family Services, Penny Hummel at [email protected].

Habitat for Humanity of Berks County ReStore offers affordable secondhand furniture, bedding and home improvement supplies. All products are usually 75- 80% below most new purchase prices. The ReStore is the one stop shop for renovating and remodeling projects. The store’s success is, in part, thanks to dedicated volunteers who help prepare, sell and organize merchandise

“Our volunteers are a crucial part of running the ReStore effectively,” said ReStore manager Ambur Bernhard. “It’s nice to see everyone come together ready to work together and have fun while making a difference in the lives of others.”

Habitat for Humanity of Berks County ReStore offers various opportunities for people aged 16 and older. Those who enjoy working with others in an ever-changing environment will enjoy working at the ReStore.
