The purpose of the meeting is to provide an update on the DEP order to remove Egleman’s Dam or to bring it up to current safety standards and to provide opportunity for input from officials and residents
The City of Reading City Council is holding a public meeting to educate the public about the PA DEP order to repair or remove Egleman’s Dam and provide the public with the opportunity to provide input on the City’s plan to comply with the order.
The meeting will include information on the need to remove dams across the Commonwealth, the assessment of the condition of this Dam, information about how the City plans to address the DEP’s order and an update on the future plans for this park.
