Oct 08, 2019

WYOMISSING, PA —Penn State Berks will host the second annual Fall Fest on Friday, Oct. 25. The event has two-parts: a family-oriented program from 5-7 p.m. at the Perkins Plaza and the “witching hour” haunted tours from 7–10 p.m.

For the family-oriented program, attendees are invited to bring their children for trick-or-treating, fall-themed games, hayrides around the campus, and a costume parade led by the Nittany Lion mascot, which will begin at 6 p.m. This event is free and open to both the campus community and the general public, and refreshments will be served. Space is limited and preregistration is required for all attendees.

There will also be a Fall Fest table-and-treat contest in the Perkins Plaza as part of the family-oriented program. Teams will decorate a table with a theme, wear costumes, and hand out candy to the children who will be trick-or-treating at the tables. The Fall Fest committee members will announce winners and prizes will be awarded at 7 p.m.

During the “witching hour,” student Lion Ambassador tour guides will take attendees on a haunted tour of the campus. Penn State Berks community members dressed as vampires, witches, and other scary characters will tell stories of the ghosts and legends that surround Penn State Berks. This part of the event is not recommended for young children. Tours will begin at the Perkins Plaza and preregistration is not required.
