The Seventh Annual 5k Turkey Run is just around the corner. The event is held every year on Thanksgiving Day and for the past six years, the Berks Gymnastics Team has held the fun-filled event. The team cannot wait to have yet another successful turnout. Last year almost 600 runners were registered and hopefully, those numbers will increase for this year’s 5k Turkey Run!

Runners of all ages are eligible to participate, so bring your friends and family members, the more the merrier! This year’s Turkey Run will take place at the Quarry Soccer Fields, 2001 Old Wyomissing Rd, Wyomissing PA, 19610 (located behind Wawa and on the corner of Museum Rd and Lancaster Ave in Shillington).

Registration will open at 7:30 am on Thursday, 28 November 2019 and will remain open until 8:45 am. The course will go through the beautiful Wyomissing Park, applicants will be running on both streets and trails. The course is considered fast and flat and will be chip-timed by Pretzel City Sports.

The kids fun run will begin at 8:30 am and the 5k run will start at 9 pm. Immediately following the race, awards will be handed out.

As stated earlier, registrations are available on the day of the run at the Quarry Fields. Those who pre-register for the 5k run will receive a t-shirt to wear on race day!

The Berks Gymnastics team has put together a fantastic event at a beautiful scenic course. Participates will receive trophies, medals, and a goody bag. The Berks County Food Bank will also be there with bins asking our local community to bring non-perishable food items and place them in the available bins they will have set up at the race.
This event happens only once a year, so don’t miss out.

To Berks County, neighboring communities, and outsiders as well, come out and support the Berks Gymnastics Team to make this year more successful than last year.
