Alvernia Earns NFHCA Individual Academic Awards

Six Student-Athletes Named Scholars of Distinction

 

Gilbert, Ariz. (Mar. 26, 2020) – Alvernia University Field Hockey placed six student-athletes on the list of 321 student-athletes across the nation who have been recognized as Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III Scholars of Distinction.

The Division III Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year.

Alvernia also placed 18 student-athletes on the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division III National Academic Squad.  The NFHCA also announced 1,943 student-athletes from 157 institutions who achieved a 3.3 cumulative GPA through the 2019 Fall semester.
