In early April, RockHound Apparel started HereForGoodPA, a community-minded fundraising opportunity for small businesses looking for financial relief during the current pandemic. 100% of the proceeds of the campaign went directly to small business owners, as RockHound was able to raise $45,000 in the 6 weeks that the campaign ran. In gauging the success, RockHound has decided to relaunch the store, this time featuring only local non-profit organizations.
The initiative is a simple concept: Each participating non-profit has a tee shirt in the HereForGoodPA online store and receives $10 in relief funds for each sale of their shirt. The store will run until July 31st at midnight, with orders being fulfilled in 7-10 days after the closing. You can decide to have your shirts shipped or picked up in-store once ready.
“After the success we had with the first campaign with small businesses, I wanted to try and help out our local non-profits as well,” says Moore. “A lot of these non-profits have to survive on their fundraising events. Left and right, these events are all getting cancelled, along with all the donation funds these organizations desperately need.”
