Berks County Commissioner Christian Y. Leinbach to self-quarantine

Following doctor’s recommendation after potential exposure to Congressman Dan Meuser

Reading, PA — Commissioner Christian Y. Leinbach announced Monday that he will be self-quarantining to follow the advice of his doctor after attending an event with Congressman Dan Meuser last week:

“I was present at the Berks Park 78 Groundbreaking for the Northpoint project last Wednesday, August 19,” Leinbach said. “Congressman Dan Meuser was also present at the event and later tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result, I contacted my doctor to let them know that, while I also attended the event and briefly spoke with the Congressman, I was not in close personal contact with him. Close personal contact is defined as being within 6 feet or less for 15 minutes or more. I was also masked the entire time except when I spoke and was socially
distanced from the other attendees.

“My doctor has advised me to self-quarantine and to monitor my temperature and watch for any symptoms. Currently I have no symptoms. Should symptoms occur, I am to contact my doctor to set up a test. I will not be leaving my home until the quarantine is completed.”
