Muhlenberg Greene Architects Associate Promoted To Principal

[Reading, PA] – Muhlenberg Greene Architects is pleased to announce that Associate James A. Sarro, AIA, has been promoted to Firm Principal.

Scott O. Graham, AIA, LEED AP, BD+C, President and Robert B. Conklin, AIA, CSI, Vice President of Muhlenberg Greene Architects, Ltd., Wyomissing, PA, are pleased to announce that James A. Sarro, AIA, LEED AP, BD+C is joining them as Principal at the firm starting this month.

The elevation to Principal at the firm is an acknowledgement of the confidence Scott and Bob have in Jim’s professional abilities and creative skills. He has continually demonstrated MGA’s commitment to providing quality services in responding to client requests throughout his time at the firm.

Since joining the team in 2015, Mr. Sarro was promoted to Associate in 2018, and plays a leading role in the design services provided for major projects. With over 20 years’ experience and registered in multiple states, Jim is a member of the American Institute of Architects, and is a LEED AP BD+C certified professional.

Mr. Sarro’s role as a Principal includes maintaining the firm’s project management standards of high quality, detail-oriented project documentation, and coordination with consultants and project stakeholders.

Jim will bring his oversight to all aspects of the design process, including client meetings to establish the project scope, code review and compliance documentation, preliminary design and construction documentation, specifications, as well as bidding and construction administration. In addition to his role as a Project Architect, Jim is also responsible for staff scheduling.

Mr. Sarro earned a degree in Architectural Design from Lincoln Technical Institute and is an accredited professional through Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), with a specialty in building design and construction. A native of Pottstown, Jim currently lives in Douglassville, PA with his wife, Kim and their two daughters, Lauren, and Katie. He currently serves on the Union Township Environmental Advisory Committee
and Union Township Planning Committee in his local community.

Mr. Sarro will work out of the firm’s Wyomissing office, but as customary, he will guide projects throughout the firm’s service area, including eight states (Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, South Carolina, Virginia, Vermont) and the District of Columbia.

Muhlenberg Greene Architects has been providing design, planning, and construction administration services for this area and surrounding states for over 100 years.
