Tower Health to Offer Walk-In COVID-19 Vaccinations at Muhlenberg Clinic

Tower Health announced today that it will offer walk-in vaccinations for the COVID-19 vaccine beginning next week. All individuals attending the walk-in clinic will receive the Pfizer vaccine, which is currently approved for anyone age 16 and over. Individuals age 16 and 17 are required to have a guardian with them for the duration of the vaccination appointment.

Walk-in vaccinations will be available on:

“Across the country we are seeing a rise of COVID-19 cases affecting children,” said Christopher Valente, MD, Chief, Section of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. “We know the Pfizer vaccine is safe and effective for ages 16 and 17, and the FDA is considering expanding its use to children as young as 12. I encourage parents to schedule an appointment for their children. If parents have additional questions I encourage them to speak with their pediatrician.”

Tower Health is also still offering COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment. Individuals can self-schedule through a MyTowerHealth account. If you do not already have a MyTowerHealth account, sign up here or visit the Tower Health website for more information. Individuals do not need to be a Tower Health patient to create a MyTowerHealth account. Individuals with limited or no internet access, should call 484-659-3000, Monday through Friday, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to schedule a first dose appointment. This phone number is reserved only for individuals without internet access. Second dose appointments are scheduled during first dose appointment.

Tower Health reminds everyone that once you have received your vaccination, from any provider, you should cancel any other appointment requests. Canceling an unneeded appointment will allow Tower Health and other vaccine providers to offer the vaccine to other interested persons more effectively. Appointments can be canceled through the MyTowerHealth account.

The COVID-19 vaccine is another tool to help the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Positive COVID-19 cases continue in our region and across the country. Reducing the spread of the virus will enable the vaccine to do its work faster, making it crucial to continue wearing a mask as recommended by the CDC, practice social distancing, and wash your hands.
