Notice Of October 20th Zoning Hearing Board Public Hearings

Notice is hereby given that the City of Reading Zoning Hearing Board will conduct public hearings on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. in the following matters. The proceedings will be broadcast from City Hall, located at 815 Washington Street, Reading, PA, and members of the public may participate via Zoom, or in person as circumstances allow.

Members of the public who wish to participate must register in advance by providing their name, address, and phone number or email address to the Zoning Administrator by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, via email to [email protected] or via phone to (610) 655-6505.

HEARINGS WILL BE HELD IN THE FOLLOWING MATTERS:

Appeal #2021-17 – 343 S. 6th St. (UPI 02530635884165): Alejandro Collado-Guzman (record owner) seeks a use variance, dimensional variance, and associated relief to establish a 9-unit multifamily residential rental property. The Board previously denied relief for 9 dwelling units in 2017 (Appeal #2017-42). The subject property is located in the R-3 Residential Zoning District and the Prince Historic District.

Appeal #2021-18 – 1501 Schuylkill Ave. (UPI 19530730185226): Christina Mambru (record owner) seeks a use variance, dimensional variance, and associated relief to establish a daycare center with two residential dwelling units at the subject property, located in the R-1 Residential Zoning District.

Appeal #2021-19 – 1527 N. 5th St. (UPI 14530708881844): Solanlly Tineo seeks a use variance to establish a food truck on the site of an existing car wash. The subject property is located in the Manufacturing Commercial (M-C) Zoning District, and the owner of record is 1527 N 5th Street, LLC.
