Tower Health Urgent Care Temporarily Closes All Locations on Sundays

The change goes into effect November 28

Tower Health announced that effective Sunday, November 28, all Tower Health Urgent Care (THUC) locations will be closed on Sundays due to ongoing staffing challenges. All locations will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

“We are making this change to maintain consistent hours of operation for our patients,” said Charles F. Barbera, MD, Tower Health Vice President of Prehospital and Unscheduled Care. “This updated schedule will eliminate the intermittent closures that have created access challenges for our patients. At the same time, it provides a day of respite for our team members who have been working tirelessly to keep our community safe and healthy for 20 months.”

Individuals in need of urgent care services are encouraged to consider Virtual Urgent Care at Tower Health. This virtual option provides patients access to a healthcare provider 24 hours a day, 365 days a year via computer or mobile device. Virtual urgent visits are appropriate for allergies, bronchitis, COVID-19 related concerns, cold and flu symptoms, pink eye, sinus problems, skin problem, and urinary tract infections.

Tower Health continues ongoing recruitment efforts for additional providers and team members at all THUC locations. The need for Sunday closures will be evaluated on an ongoing basis, with the goal of resuming Sunday hours as soon as possible.
