Santander Arena, Performing Arts Center Celebrate Record Ticket Sales

READING, PA – The ASM Global Managed Santander Arena and Santander Performing Arts Center welcomed record setting crowds for the first half of their 20th Anniversary season. Both venues kicked off the year with a strong run of concerts & events.

The Santander Performing Arts Center, located at 136th North 6th Street, achieved it’s highest ranking ever in Theater category of the ‘Pollstar Year End Ticket Sales’ at 58th amongst venues in the United States. During this time, the venue sold 23,487 tickets to a wide variety of shows including Little Big Town, Joe Bonamassa, Jo Koy, Foreigner & more. The theater last ranked in 2018 and has not made the Top 200 list within the Theater category since.

Additionally, the Santander Arena ranked 100th amongst Arena’s in the United States with 20,396 tickets sold. The Arena started off it’s 20th Anniversary Celebration strong with a sold out shows with Rauw Alejandro and Zach Williams. The ‘Pollstar Year End Ticket Sales’ do not including sporting events in their ranking so the Reading Royals 20th Anniversary Season is not reflected in the ranking.

Both venues are set to continue the 20th Anniversary Season this week and in 2022 with new shows being added weekly. This Thursday the Santander Arena will host the return of Lindsey Stirling with Christmas Program and on December 30th will host rising Latin star Jay Wheeler, and Nelly & Ludacris on January 6. The 20th Anniversary continues in 2022 as Gabe Igelsias, Bill Burr, Dropkick Murphys, & more to be announced soon are coming to Reading this Spring. A special 20th Anniversary event was announced this week as Marc Anthony will return to the Santander Arena on March 24, 2022.

The Santander Performing Arts Center is set to host the return of Cirque Dreams Holidaze this Wednesday evening as well as numerous events in early 2022 including the return of Broadway with Jersey Boys, a sold out show from Whiskey Myers, and a special comedy show with Taylor Tomlinson.
